Title IX

This past weekend on ESPN, they dedicated a lot of time and programming to the 40th anniversary of Title IX.  I loved the piece on the 1999 Women’s World Cup Champions, and there were other great stories, interviews, and games.   I had such mixed emotions while watching it.

Sweet Home Alabama

Just a quick update on a road trip we took a few weeks ago…  We made the 3.5 hour drive to Jacksonville, AL to see friends.  Hope is very good in the car.  She sleeps the whole time.  Hope sleeps in the car no matter how long the trip.  She is usually asleep by the time we get to the interstate. To Schedule or Not To Schedule

Add Texas to the list of states Hope has visited.  On my side of the family, Hope met 2 great aunts and 3rd and 4th cousins.  On Wendy’s side of the family, Hope met 8 aunts and uncles, a great aunt, a great grandmother, and 13 cousins!  It was great for the family to get to see Hope, but it was wonderful that Hope slept through the night 5 out of 9 nights!  Also, Hope slept much better in the car than she did on the plane.
